Overview

The booking flow asked for everything up front — account, preferences, payment — before showing availability. Most mobile visitors never made it past the second screen. Wayfare reverses the order: show the thing people came for first, ask for details only when they’re needed.

What I did

Mapped the existing funnel, cut the flow from seven steps to three, and prototyped the new sequence for usability testing before a line of production code changed. Worked with the engineering team through implementation to keep the interaction details intact.

Outcome

Completed reservations on mobile roughly doubled, and support tickets about the booking process dropped to a trickle.
