Hochstetler Log Homes
Rebuilding a family-owned log home company's site around a floor plan browser people actually want to use.
The Client
Hochstetler Log Homes is a second-generation, family-owned Amish business specializing in floor plans and high-quality materials packages for custom log homes. They work closely with prospective customers, educating them about the log home market, and giving guidance on maintenance and care.
The Challenge
Hochstetler came to us looking to modernize their website and make it a more effective tool for their business. The existing site was restrictive, hard to navigate, and made it difficult for users to find information or complete conversion goals. It did not reflect Hochstetler Log Homes’ expertise or the quality of their product to their target demographic. We saw this as an opportunity to create a website that made it easier for them to connect with the right clients.
The Solution
We determined the revamped site would need a complete overhaul of how the Floor Plans were portrayed. A modern filter and search interface would do much better to help prospective homeowners find what they’re looking for. We reworked the site’s structure to make sure inquiry forms were visible and inviting, guiding people toward a form submission when they were ready. A better contextualized page flow and improved communication to the user about form actions would result in better qualified leads.
The Impact
A beautiful site that makes sense
The new design is clean, organized, and reflects the quality Hochstetler is known for. Visitors move through the site with more clarity and purpose—and the conversions back that up.
A floor plan filter people like to use… a lot
The updated Floor Plans page is now the most engaged-with area on the site. Users can sort, compare, and explore options with less friction, making it easier to find what they’re looking for and reach out with real questions.
Better traffic, more of it
Traffic is more qualified, form submissions are stronger, and site behavior is healthier across the board. Six months after launch, unique traffic rose 40%, form submissions climbed 20%, and time on site increased 30%.
