Ledgerline
A transaction-cleanup tool that turns messy bank exports into tidy, categorized records.
Overview
Bank exports arrive as inconsistent CSVs — truncated payee names, duplicate rows, and categories that mean something to the bank but nothing to the person budgeting. Ledgerline ingests those exports and produces clean, consistently formatted records ready for a spreadsheet or accounting tool.
What I did
Designed the review flow — a keyboard-first queue where each transaction can be renamed, categorized, or merged in a single pass — and built the front end that ships it. Rules learn from each correction, so the queue gets shorter every month.
Outcome
A monthly chore that took an evening now takes minutes, and the exported records are consistent enough to feed reporting without manual fixes.
